Solid colors look great alone or if you want to step it up, you can mix these with a stripe, plaid or embroidered dupioni. Solids can also be combined with a beaded dupioni for a stunning effect. 

If a silk is listed as having undertones, that means that it is a "shot" or two-toned silk comprised of two colors of thread running in opposite directions — one being the dominant color, the other being the underlying color.
